Tencent Games Carnival has begun and ArcheAge is there!

Though most of ArcheAge-Online.com’s readers hail from Europe or North America, we still post ArcheAge news from other parts of the world. We believe this information may be interesting to fans regardless of where they live! Having said that, here’s the newest videos and information to have come out of Tencent’s Games Carnival!

First off is probably the most important bit of news: China’s first dedicated closed beta test will start in May 2013! Actual release of the game in China is slated for 2014, but we’ll see how that pans out.

ArcheAge has over 1 million registered fans in China that want to be part of the beta. Not all 1 million will get to play in it, but all of them got their names in the video below. Their names make up the countdown and date at the end of the video (difficult to see, but they’re there).

During the presentation a trailer was shown. Here is that same trailer by itself.

Enjoy!

Korea and China ArcheAge fans get excited for December 12th!

According to a couple reputable sources, on December 12th during “ArcheAge Media Day” (basically a press conference) details about ArcheAge’s next CBT/OBT and release are likely to be revealed!

Click the image to be taken to Tencent’s ArcheAge teaser site.

Additionally, this weekend is Tencent Games Carnival! Tencent is ArcheAge’s publisher in China, and they plan on making ArcheAge a big part of the festival with cosplay, new trailers and probably demo stations. Already a teaser website is counting down the days until the festival.

Should fans in other territories be excited by this news? Of course! The sooner ArcheAge can prove itself in Korea and China, the sooner XLGAMES can focus more energy on its foreign business deals. :)

Two new videos, one serious, one not.

Tencent Games finally released its new ArcheAge trailer, which is basically a summary of the game’s features and lore. It’s very well put-together, especially if you understand Chinese!

Meanwhile, XLGAMES released a fun little “dance party” video to drum up some excitement for CBT4. Don’t freak out, there probably won’t be raves in-game…probably. :P

When being interviewed at China Joy, Cheng Wu, the vice president of Tencent says the game is being translated, and the demo of Chinese edtion will be offered in the end of 2011. Meanwhile Song Jae-kyeong has claimed there will be many local elements added to the game as well.

Read it all here (not much to read, but we always link to sources).

ArcheAge China Announcement Trailer!

The rumors were false: Tencent is still publishing ArcheAge in China! Tencent Games held its annual press conference today and talked about all kinds of games that it’s publishing this coming fiscal year.

Not to detract from Tencent’s other new games…but the coolest item to come out of the conference was, by far, the following trailer. Brace yourselves for an unstoppable onslaught of awesome! ;)
