ArcheAge “Demo” in China by Year’s End
According to the English version of 178.com (a Chinese news site), the Chinese version of ArcheAge is coming along nicely and should be ready for testing near the end of this year.
When being interviewed at China Joy, Cheng Wu, the vice president of Tencent says the game is being translated, and the demo of Chinese edtion will be offered in the end of 2011. Meanwhile Song Jae-kyeong has claimed there will be many local elements added to the game as well.

ArcheAge China Announcement Trailer!
The rumors were false: Tencent is still publishing ArcheAge in China! Tencent Games held its annual press conference today and talked about all kinds of games that it’s publishing this coming fiscal year.
Not to detract from Tencent’s other new games…but the coolest item to come out of the conference was, by far, the following trailer. Brace yourselves for an unstoppable onslaught of awesome!

Tencent Licenses Korean MMO
17173.com, 9/02/10Chinese online game developer and operator Tencent (0700.HK) has licensed the mainland China operating rights to Korean developer XL Games’ MMORPG Archeage for over USD 40 mln.
XL Games said the two companies have already signed a confidential agreement and it cannot reveal the contents of the agreement.
Development began on Archeage in late 2006, which is slated for completion in 2011. The game began first-round internal testing in Korea this July.
